Executive Team

Andreas Keil
Managing Director – Front office

"The idea of bundling the energy and flexibility of decentralised generators and control-enabled consumers and giving them access to the market this way obviously and clearly suggested itself in the context of the energy transition. Virtual power plants are already making an important contribution to the integration of renewable energies into the supply system, and their importance will continue to grow in future."

Andreas started his career right after the liberalisation of the energy market in 1999. In 2002, he joined EGL AG (today AXPO) where he was appointed CEO of the newly founded German subsidiary in 2003.

In this capacity, Andreas expanded EGL’s German business significantly, with a focus on portfolio management for energy utilities and other producers.

With the aim of building up an independent company for the system integration of renewable energies, Andreas founded e2m in 2009 (with headquarters in Leipzig), and has lead the company as managing director since then.

Sandy Pfund
Managing Director – Back office

“To us, maximum security and high product quality for our partners as well as clearly structured processes are essential factors guaranteeing success in the very dynamic European market environment.”

As a graduate industrial engineer, Sandy has long-standing professional experience in the energy, industrial and engineering sector with the focus on strategic development, organisational restructuring, corporate planning as well as value and risk management. He has successfully implemented e2m’s Integrated Security Management System (ISMS).

After working at Deutsche Bank and Siemens, Sandy joined the energy sector as head of corporate development and strategic management accounting at Stadtwerke Leipzig - with a focus on strategic development, corporate planning as well as value and risk management.

Sandy joined e2m in 2014 and is responsible for the Back office and IT.

Sevastos Kavanozis
Managing Director – International Markets

“Decentralised energy supply creates similar challenges for a range of countries. We can benefit from our experience in building the ideal infrastructure in each of these markets.”

A lawyer by training, Sevastos has focused on energy law ever since starting his career.

Among others, he helped to build Merrill Lynch’s Eastern European electricity sales and trading business - which subsequently became a major player in the region. At Deutsche Bank’s (DB) commodities division, he headed the Eastern European electricity sales and origination department.

In 2013, he joined the newly-stablished TrailStone Group (TS), a commodity trading and logistics company, which was founded by the former management team of the DB Commodities unit. Together with the European managing director, Sevastos helped to build TS’ short-term power platform and co-spearheaded the investment in e2m.

Since January 2016 he has been one of three managing directors of e2m and is responsible for foreign markets.
